We all are a part of almighty God. Since we have separated from Godfather, at the beginning of the world, our souls collect many worldly impressions and therefore its appearance is different from God. We also behave differently from God because of those covering impressions.
As long as those coverings cloak our soul, our soul can not merge in God and suffers. In order to find everlasting happiness we have to follow some criteria which lead to the realization of God. The criteria which purify our soul are considered to define the spiritual path. Below is a list of 7 steps/criteria which lead us towards spirituality:
- God first - World next: We have to fix our aim, which is to reveal God and to be one with God. Do not allow anything to come between God and yourself. God is your top priority so dedicate everything you do and posses to God. The motto is: God first, world next.
- Saint- Prophet- Master: We need a guide who can give us first hand experiences of divine revelations. When he is with us in the inner planes to guide us as a fellow traveler then we can know that he is the right one to guide us on our way back to God.
- Meditation: Follow the instructions given to you by your spiritual guide, and practice meditation. In the beginning, after receiving initiation, it is important to devote at least two hours a day to meditation practice- one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. Later on, you will be automatically revealed divine revelations inside making you feel happiness and safe.
- No outer rituals: The path to knowledge of God is a direct path, leading the soul in the spirit straight to God. So don't involve yourselves in outer rituals in the name of other paths, because when we follow the doctorines of religions which have diverted from the right path we will get lost. God's path is one, eternal and direct.
- No controversy of holy scriptures: We should not be involved in the controversy of the holy scriptures though scriptures are holy descriptions of the preceptors of religion and of the perfect masters. But afterwards people have interpreted them in different ways and so the controversy came along. Those controversies sap our confidence and energy to follow the right path. If you find controversial teachings anywhere in the scriptures, leave it to God and in the course of time he will give you clear guidance and knowledge from within.
- Ethical Life: Be true in your living. Be non violent. Don't take any intoxication. Don't shed the blood of other living beings. Don't eat meat, because you will be responsible for the suffering of that creature. Earn your bread in an honest way. Those are some principles which will be automatically followed when we are practicing meditation and guided from inside.
- Service to Man is service to God: The last point is that we are serving to man. As God resides in all human beings, the human body is the temple of God, and by serving Man we are directly serving God.
